The Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, this evening at 21.00, hosts the pre-Christmas concert of the Chamber Orchestra of Ravenna directed by Paolo Manetti, who will also attend the young pianist from Cosenza, Maria Perrotta, who will play the Fourth Concerto in sol major, Op. 58 by Beethoven.
The pianist , winner of the 2008 award Encore! Shura Cherkassky , has prevailed to the public and critics in January 2012 for a performance of Bach’s Goldberg Variations . The live album of this performance won the 5 Stelle Award of the magazines Amadeus, Musica, Suonare News and the Critics Award in 2012 sponsored by the magazine Musica & Dischi, chosen through a referendum between one hundred music critics.
Maria Perrotta has dedicated a lot of time to the music of Beethoven, in fact it was released recently by the english label Decca, the CD containing his live performance of the last three Beethoven sonatas .
The next round of Perrotta will be on January 21, 2014 at the Teatro Rossini in Lugo (RA) in the programme some of the most famous songs by Chopin, including the Third Sonata in si minore, Op. 58 that will close the evening.
