We join the outrage and concern for the repugnant and offensive intimidation that the Italian Jewish Community received on the day of the Shabbat,
in the words of the historian Norman Cohn, “A grossly misleading conception of the world has been able to express murder and torture beyond imagination. It was a historical model of psychopathology collective whose deeper implications transcend anti-Semitism and the fate of the Jews.”
Those who believed naively that anti-Semitism was over were wrong. The Judeophobia is still rampant, we must fight the most ancient history of prejudice against a people and a culture.
